When I think back to this time last year, all that comes to mind is the stress of the approaching prom season. I spent countless hours searching for prom dresses that would stand out among the 250+ girls in my high school. As someone who has always loved dressing up, I couldn’t bear the thought of having the same dress as someone else. I eventually stumbled upon a London-based brand called Needle and Thread. They have gorgeous dresses with unique details and embellishments. Mine was a simple light gray color with delicate beading. Not only did I receive many compliments on my dress, but it also made me feel confident which I think is key when dressing for any occasion. Here are three dresses I love and think would stand out in any crowd.
Dress 1: Julissa Halter Maxi Dress- Love Shack Fancy
Love Shack Fancy has an array of elegant and ethereal dresses. One of my favorites for the upcoming prom season is the Julissa Halter Maxi Dress. The light emerald color is one that is meant to stand out. The dress's pleating adds an airy touch. My favorite part of the dress is the cutouts that flow into the back. Even though the dress is what grabs the eye first, I feel that shoes and accessories can complete the look. Like the model in the picture, I would wear gold heels and gold jewelry.
Dress 2: Francois Maxi Dress in Wine- Fame and Partners
Fame and Partners offers many different dress colors, styles and lengths where you have the opportunity to make it custom. This is a perfect website for prom dresses for that reason. One of my favorite dresses they have is the ever so elegant Francois Maxi Dress. I don't think you can ever go wrong with an open back. The asymetic design is also on trend for Spring 2022. While they offer many different colors and fabrics I would opt for the Wine color. Gold shoes and jewelry would be the perfect compliment to the dresses color.
Dress 3: Clea Gown- Likely
Why not go for neon? The bright Clea Gown has removable straps so you can decide how you want to wear it and a fun cut-out. I also think the flowy ruching makes for a unique dress. I would pair this bold neon with some silver jewelry and heels.
